KIPPI LEONARD

Formerly of the interior design world, Kippi's design and color background informs her current abstract expressionist style. Working from her Palm Springs California studio her work in ink is ethereal and moody as she layers rich colors onto textured materials such as raw canvas and raw linen. Her contemporary oil paintings are abstract in structure yet organic in her choice of colors, mark making and layered techniques. Kippi's body of work is innovative in her approach preferring to paint flat and work around the surface adding layers from many different perspectives.
