American Artist, David Rothermel of David Rothermel Contemporary, Santa Fe, New Mexico, was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, a small town located along the confluence of the north and west branches of the Susquehanna River. David first studied art at York Academy of Art, located in York, PA. He later went on to study and graduate from the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Art. Two of his summers were spent in Maine at the much coveted Skowhegan School of Painting, studying under preeminent American masters.

His work is included in many private and public collections. Recently, two watercolors were added to the Wyeths’ Farnsworth Museum’s permanent collection in Rockland, Maine.
